Apartment Finding Services

Apartment living in the Denver Metro area now can include all the extras. Those include exercise facilities, spacious floor plans, attached garages, and personal service to match. Denver's new and abundant choices of elegant living allow the discerning resident to experience not only the excitement of brand new construction, these modern communities bestow a myriad of amenities and personal conveniences upon the resident. This creates a warm feeling of comfort and security.

Athletic and physical fitness centers have blossomed in the new communities. You can choose from racquetball, basketball, aerobic training, free weights, indoor/outdoor pools and luxurious spa facilities. Some communities have daycare and child supervision while you work out. Executive business centers with internet access and media rooms with digital surround sound are present in some communities.

Denver is a relatively young city, and the prospective renter will be pleased to know that the majority of the apartments were built in the last fifteen years. Many of the older apartments reside in the central section of the city. Newer communities are generally two or three story garden level communities that range from 125 to 500 units. A central clubhouse will have all the amenities and the business office to address any concerns the resident may have. Most newer apartment communities and all of the new construction have balconies, fireplaces, dishwashers, cable TV, and washer dryer connections.

Nearly all apartments in the Denver metro area have open parking. Covered parking or carports have become quite common, and garages or underground secure parking are available in some communities.

Pets can be a challenge, however in most complexes, cats are welcome with an extra deposit and usually an extra surcharge on top of the regular rent (pet rent). Dogs can become more challenging, especially the larger animals, but there are some choices available.

Laundry facilities are generally provided in a common area for use by all residents. Most of the newly constructed communities provide washer-dryer connections inside the apartment. If you bring your own washer and dryer make sure to ask if the connections are stackable (apartment size) or full size.

Utilities are handled many different ways in Denver depending on the age and style of building. Older buildings will generally have common boilers. Sometimes the landlord will pay for all utilities except for electricity and cable. Most communities will have the units individually metered so that the resident pays for only the utilities the tenant uses.

Lease terms in the Denver Metro area are based on six and twelve month tenancy. The Denver market charges a premium for three month and month to month leasing, and the shorter of lease term you want the less selection you have to choose from and the higher the monthly cost. Corporate leasing on a short term basis is available, the prices start at $90 per night depending on the length of stay.

Security deposits are seldom more than one months rent and are usually all refundable. Some communities retain part of your security deposit as a non refundable cleaning fee.
